Our Son

'Our Son' is an intimate, honest, poetic, humorous, and at times tragic story about parents, who deep down can't find a way to accept the identity of their gay son. Even though they think they have tried everything, they remain prisoners of conditional love, which is the only thing they know. 

'Our Son' is written and directed by Patrik Lazić, one of the most gifted Serbian directors of the younger generation. It was created during the forbidden EuroPride 2022 in Belgrade and later awarded as one the best theatre plays in Serbia that year. 

The text comes from reality, and scenes from all our lives come together in this challenging work of coming out and family relationships in modern Serbia. Performed in English.
